Roses 2019
Roses are more of a gamble here due to gophers, deer and scorching summer heat but I can’t help but love them anyway. We try to change up our offering some every year. Some are chosen for fragrance. Some are chosen for heat resistance. Some are chosen because they are perennial favorites. I am partial to roses that give lots of flower power and for that, you can’t beat Drift landscape shrub roses. David Austin Roses are also a favorite of mine. We get them in from another grower around May. This year Star Roses became the license holder of the Kordes line of roses and I have ordered some to try out. You can find out more about these lovely roses at www.kordes.us. Here is the list of roses coming around the first of February in bare root from Star Roses and Weeks Roses. We start potting them up shortly after and sell down through the year.
